CHILES! CHILES! CHILES! CHILES! CHILES!

Yes, our very popular Chile Festival is this Saturday!

Plenty of green chiles, mild, medium or spicy will be available. Anaheims, poblanos, Concho chiles and other heirloom types. And hot peppers - Jalapenos, Serranos and cherry bombs. Bell peppers, purple, green and wax, Navajo Red-Seeded Watermelon, Galia and Asian melons, Acorn squash, summer squash, okra, Italian eggplant and baby eggplant, pickling cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, sweet onions - red, white and candy, shallots, garlic and garlic braids. Fresh cut herbs include Sweet Thai Basil, Genovese Basil, lemon, mammoth and purple basil, rosemary, garlic chives and epazote.

Some vendors also have farm fresh eggs, potted plants and flowers, delicious homemade jams and relishes. Jewelry, pretty aprons, and handmade soaps and lotions are just some of our crafts.

We are now selling raffle tickets for $5.00, available at the Market Managers table, a drawing will be held once a month with the winner receiving an item from each vendor, and the July winner was Miles McGinnis!

Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on the corner of Highway 61 and 180A in Concho, be sure to come early for the best selections!

Our next festival is our Tomato & Chile Festival! Locally grown, sun-ripened tomatoes of every shape, size and variety will be the long awaited highlight of this festival! Along with tomatoes, the last of this seasons chiles will be available, so mark your calendars to join us on September 5th for the Tomato & Chile Festival.
